Welcome to MAKE - LISTEN - DIE

What is this and why are you here?

This blog was created to document a friendship that has evolved alongside the music created through it. This is Kyle. We have been friends since we met in 2016 when he moved to the PNW from Maryland. He is a wonderfully multi-disciplined and talented person. He is a great collaborator and has the ability to help others get the best out of themselves.

Both of us are busy business owners with families and many obligations. Because of that, our availability to hang out has always been limited to random meet-ups for short durations. This year, we decided to put an end to the limited hangouts. Wednesday nights, after the kids go to bed, are now dedicated to making music together and working on his studio.

We began our meetings on January 8th, originally thinking we would just write a couple of riffs and test out his studio. My main goal was to troubleshoot some issues and make sure everything was functioning properly. However, we ended up writing a song that both of us were really excited about. The whole process was not only smooth but, most importantly, fun.

This is the first song we created during that initial session. We started with the bass and then transitioned to the guitar as we established a structure. Once the song took shape, Kyle suggested I go into the vocal booth and give it a shot. Here are the results, warts and all.
